Nick Gorden is the co-founder and CEO of Shine Solar. Nick’s energy, enthusiasm, and leadership is contagious, and has contributed to attracting a talented and successful executive team. His time is focused on strategic growth, maintaining profitability, and creating the optimal customer experience. Nick has started, managed, and sold companies within the communications, mortgage lending, insurance, and real estate industries, resulting in tens of millions of dollars of market value to investors.
CoFounder and President
Caleb Gorden is the president and co-founder of Shine Solar, and has over 10 years in the direct sales industry with a proven track record in managing and training sales professionals. He is passionate about solar and educating others on its benefits. Caleb is also a husband and father of four. He spends his time away from work on family outings and attending his children’s extracurricular activities. Caleb graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Director of Sales
Vince has recruited, managed, and trained direct sales teams for the past eight years. He has also exponentially grown two separate solar companies in California and Texas. In Texas, he boosted company sales from $560,000 per month in revenue to $2.1 million per month with a team of nine sales professionals. Vince’s strategy is to lead from the front, as he averaged over 100 kilowatts per month in personal sales volume. He has a proven track record of recruiting, managing, training, and expanding into new markets. Vince is an influential leader who produces results, creates an immediate impact, and fuels profits.
Director of Operations
Tommy Lowden is a certified PMP (Project Management Professional) with a background in the IT/networking industry and operations management. Tommy has a proven track record of process improvement and streamlining workflows. He is dedicating to taking care of the customer and ensuring all processes are customer-driven. In his off time, he enjoys spending time with his family, especially in the outdoors.
Solar Concierge, AR
Faith has 12 years of marketing experience, which has afforded her the skills and knowledge to work in a wide range of marketing mediums, from concept to completion. Over her career, she has had experience designing billboards, magazine ads, van/truck designs, website and mobile designs. Faith creates content for all marketing vehicles, and understands the importance of user experience, integrity of design, and the use of technology in the changing market. Her record is one of solid accomplishments and increasing levels of responsibility.
Solar Concierge, MO
Jennifer is a solar industry veteran who obtained her undergraduate degree in public relations and her graduate degree in communication, graduating summa cum laude. That blend of interests was a natural fit for the Shine Solar culture, and she loves working with a company that enables her to work both behind the keyboard and personally with customers. Additionally, Jennifer has years of experience in strategic planning, copywriting, public relations, and management.
Co-Founder and Executive Board
Ethan Willis is a co-founder, investor, and advisor for Shine Solar. Ethan has been recognized as winner of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award by Ernst and Young, 40 under 40, and as a Top 100 Venture-Backed Entrepreneur by Vspring Capital. Ethan’s work in the field of business growth has been published in TIME, Business Week, USA Today, and Fox News. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University, the Owner President Management Program at Harvard University, and is an alumni of the Harvard Business School. He is a board member of the YPO (Young Presidents Organization) Scottsdale, Arizona chapter.
Robert is an experienced CPA and finance professional. He graduated cum laude with undergraduate and graduate degrees from the School of Accountancy at Brigham Young University. He is the Senior Finance Director over Global Products and Operations at NuVasive, a leading medical device company for spinal surgeries. Prior to joining NuVasive, Robert held various roles of increasing finance responsibility at Thermo Fisher Scientific, a Fortune 500 life sciences company. Robert personally joined the ranks of solar ownership in 2013.
Josh’s vast business expertise provides valuable insight and direction to the Shine Solar. Josh has founded, owned and operated numerous businesses in diverse market sectors. Starting in 1996, he created a large portfolio of real estate assets and participated as principal in over 1000 real estate transactions totaling in excess of $300 million dollars. As CEO of Alliance Investment Group, he acquired a land portfolio consisting of more than 10,000 acres. In addition, he is the co-founder and board member of Starwood Custom Homes, one of the largest and most prestigious custom home builders in the State of Arizona.
Recently, Josh has diversified into additional market sectors co-founding Fun Factory Candy & Novelty Company, a manufacturing and distribution company that currently has products in over 40,000 retail locations. In 2012 Mr. Simonton ventured into the medical sector where he co-founded an urgent care chain in Las Vegas that became the largest in the State of Nevada before the company was sold to Care Now. He is also a board member and investor in a chain of skilled nursing facilities located in northern California. In addition, Mr. Simonton has made significant investments in the tech sector including Vizzda, a Saas based commercial real estate information company, Trustafact a provider of cutting-edge cybersecurity ratings, Inhouse a residential real estate marketing platform and RIB a company providing insurance billing services to the restoration industry.
