The Shinesolar.com Scholarship will award $1000 per semester to two students who meet the following criteria:
- Students must have a declared major or minor in one of the following: Renewable Energy, Sustainable Energy, Alternative Fuel Resources, Conservation, Renewable Energy Finance, or other approved areas of study
- Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and have completed at least one full-time college semester
- Students must have actively participated in a green energy-promoting project of his or her choice
- Students must complete scholarship application and 1000-word essay detailing his or her experience working on green-energy promoting project
Award Details & Notification
- The scholarships deadline for each applicant to apply will be November 15th and July 15th of each year.
- A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded the first week following each semester to two winners
- Winners will notified via phone, email or mail
- Scholarship funds will be delivered within one week of notifying determined winners

Since Ryan was our first scholarship recipient not only did he receive a $2,000 check but our CEO Nick Gorden flew to Portland, Oregon to hand-deliver the check to our winner over lunch at the Portland City Grill.
